Welcome to the Chicken Fight Club (hereafter CFC). Our goal is to provide a controlled, fair, professional, and FUN event in which anyone of any skill level or profession can participate. To keep it fair and fun we ask that everyone in attendance obey a few simple rules. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in disciplinary action up to and including banishment from the establishment. 1. To allow for a more "realistic" environment, we ask that all pets (chickens excluded) be kept in the provided secure stable on the ground floor. There is little to no spawn around the venue and multiple doors will keep pets safe and out of reach of hostile creatures. This rule is also in effect to keep the view of the arena free from obstruction for everyone's enjoyment. 2. With the sole exception of Night Sight (and then only when needed), we ask that spellcasting not be performed inside the building. This is also a rule intended to keep the proper atmosphere for the event and to keep the "spam" to a minimum. 3. Absolutely NO foul language, racial slurs, or other speech or actions that may be offensive. This will not be tolerated, and following the banishment from our establishment, a GM will be notified as well. If this isn't already obviously unacceptable behavior, perhaps you do not belong here. The cheering and jeering of a chicken is acceptable as long as it's goodnatured, related to the event, and follows the first paragraph of this rule. Again, hateful orffensive behavior will not be tolerated by CFC. 4. All chicken handlers must be accepted into the CFC guild for the duration of their fight, and only for their current match. We're not going to Fel, so to get them to peck and scratch, they must be guilded. Before each match, all temporary CFC members must resign from the guild before the next match's contenders will be accepted. This is to keep confusion to a minimum as well as prevent unauthorized fighting. 5. No member of CFC may attack or perform any manner of hostile or damaging action to another member, his chicken, or any other pet, follower, or otherwise unless scheduled for a match, in which case only action upon the chicken will be allowed, and only when signalled to do so at the start of a match. The purpose of this event is to have chickens battle in the arena. That is all the fighting that is allowed, and then only when sanctioned by the event referees. We understand it may be tempting for some to attack other members, so we will strive to provide a security force to prevent the hostile party from killing anyone else. In as much as we at CFC wish this would never happen, and will make every attempt to prevent it, we must warn you it is possible and all temporary CFC members should be careful. CFC is not responsible for any stolen or lost items or pets, or any bodily harm. 6. Matches will be a fight to the death, or "last chicken standing" event. This is the ONLY time a CFC member's chicken may harm or kill another member's chicken, and only if they're part of the current match. 7. We ask taht all chickens not participating in the current match be told to stand *in the area provided.* This is to ensure their safety as they can be observed and attended to while not being in the way or obstructing the view of the arena. 8. There will be a professional vet at the event to heal chickens after matches and resurrect the loser(s) for those who cannot themeselves do so. This will be a free service. Any member of the audience may assist in healing/rezing provided they do so in good faith and free of charge. We respect the desire for a good vet gain as much as anyone else. 9. There will be NO outside influence on the chickens participating in the match. It is an illegal act to strike a chicken or cast a spell, either positive or negative at any chickens participating in the current match. The chickens fight for themselves and that is it. in the event of such influence the match will be halted. If the act was commited by a current match chicken owner, he will be disqualified. In the event an audience member is the guilty party, the event will be rescheduled and the audience member will be ejected. Healing chickens during a match is also prohibited. 10. Decisions and rulings of the judges will be fair and FINAL. 11. Private betting is allowed between matches. CFC will not be responsible for any private bets, as an organized secure betting service will be provided. 12. Please respect the requests of the CFC members. They're here to keep things fun and fair. If they ask you to do something, please do so. 13. The fighting ring is off limits to everyone not participating in the current match, and even those trainers are not allowed in the ring during a fight. 14. No chicken my have an offensive or slanderous name. No chicken may have a name promoting any vendor location, unless it is a current sponsor, and only then by permission of said sponsor and CFC judges. Guild names for chickens are acceptable as long as they are not offensive. 15. Rules, events, and venues are subject to change without notice. 16. Common sense is the main guide to behavior here. 17. In order to show our appreciation for our sponsors, all unauthorized rune dropping or other form of advertising is not permitted. Runes, books, and other physical forms of advertising will be destroyed. The sponsors helping fund the events deserve the attention of the audience and they will be the only ones to receive it. We hope everyone enjoys the event. Please visit our sponsors, and we'll see you again really soon. Feel free to direct any questions or comments to chickenfightclub@yahoo.com or any regular member of CFC or friend of the club. Thanks to all the members of CFC for their efforts, and to the regular patrons. Special thanks to all our wonderful sponsors for making the event possible and providing the great prizes. Thanks to Ithy for not yelling too much when I stay up late planning an event. CFC would also like to thank the Great Lakes stratics Staff for helping promote the events and spread the word. |
